Isha Hatha Yoga Teacher, 29
Yoga has been with me for longer than I realized. Music played a big role in my childhood and youth. I spent hours singing at the piano and everything felt clear afterwards. I also took singing lessons and applied to various music universities. All without success. At this time I discovered yoga. I was having an identity crisis and nothing was going as planned. I didn't know what to do anymore. Yoga gave me support and showed me that I am responsible for how I feel and what I do with my life.

I traveled to India, learned yoga and Ayurveda, and spent time on the Ganges and the Himalayas. On my flight back, a video of Sadhguru appeared on my Facebook feed and I immediately knew that my long search was over. Many videos, yoga courses and volunteering later, I decided to do the Isha Hatha Yoga Training, which lasts 5 months and includes 1750 hours. It was the challenge of my life and I have been unstoppable ever since. I currently teach yoga in Austria, Vienna, Styria, Tyrol, Salzburg and Carinthia.

Why exactly Isha Hatha Yoga?
I have tried many different yoga styles and also attended another yoga teacher training course in North India. However, I could not do the practices regularly. The teaching wasn't systematic enough for me and I didn't feel comfortable teaching this type of yoga. What appealed to me about Isha Yoga was the systematic and precise approach that ensures that the practice is learned correctly. Once I learned the practice, it became a part of me. From now on, the daily yoga session for myself always took place. I hardly feel tired anymore, get up in the morning much more easily and look at the world with much more attention, admiration and humor. True success is being at peace with yourself. When you can just BE and don't have to DO anything.

When Isha Hatha Yoga became a part of my life, I started writing songs. For many years I tried to bring my own music into the world. I got a lot of inspiration, especially after the Yogasanas course. My life took a completely different turn. Today I am surprised at how much has happened in my life since then. A lot of unnecessary things have fallen away. Blooming can be as simple as aligning your own geometry with the geometry of the universe.

What you are calling as yogasanas is just to get this body geometrically in line with the cosmic geometry. If you learn to just hold it right, you can download the whole cosmos. This is yoga. If you simply sit right, everything that’s worth knowing can be known to you from within.
